A domain name is the official name that you register in order to have any type of presence on the web. If you want to launch your own website, you must have a domain. An example of a domain is 'moomia.com'.

Domain name registration is a simple task, pick the name that you think will describe your business, go to a registrar's website (see below for a recommendation), do a search on the domain to make sure that it hasn't been registered by someone else, make a payment and within a few hours you will be the proud owner of your own domain!

While registering a domain is a simple task, finding the right name can be very challenging. Most common words have already been registered, you must be creative in choosing a domain name that hasn't already been registered. Some previously registered domains are for sale however but sometimes are a very high price.
